Horgen, 18 December 2009 – Ernesto Maurer has been appointed the new CEO of the SSM Textile Machinery division as of 1. April 2010. Mr Maurer has a degree in engineering (Dipl. Ing.) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), as well as an MBA from the University of Lausanne. He has gained proven management experience in various executive positions and has been in the textile industry for many years, most recently as CEO of Loepfe Brothers Ltd in Wetzikon.

From 1 January 2010 Schweiter Technologies Group Management will be expanded to include three new members: Georg Reif, CEO of the Composites division, which became part of the Group on 1 December 2009; Martin Klöti, Head of Reporting & Controlling; and Ian von Fellenberg, Head of Corporate Development.
