Solid start to the year - AGM 2012 - Shareholders approve all proposals put forward by the Board of Directors

Horgen, May 9, 2012 – At the Annual General Meeting of Schweiter Technologies AG held today in Horgen, shareholders approved by a large majority all proposals put forward by the Board of Directors.


Notably, payment of CHF 39.26 (CHF 12.00 per share in cash and of CHF 27.26 per share in the form of the distribution of one bearer share from the company’s treasury shares for 18 bearer shares held) from reserves from capital contributions was approved. Beat Siegrist, Beat Frey, Heinrich Fischer, Lukas Braunschweiler and Jacques Sanche were re-elected as members of the Board of Directors for a term of office of one year.

In addition, shareholders approved renewal of the authorized share capital and an amendment of the Articles of Incorporation to bring them into line with the Swiss Federal Act on Intermediated Securities.

Operational business is progressing as expected at the start of the year. At 3A Composites, Architecture and Display are turning in an encouraging performance with good results in Europe and the US. Market share was gained in the core materials segment despite continuing pressure on margins, in particular in China. SSM Textile Machinery is performing on a par with the previous year, while after a tentative start to the year Ismeca Semiconductor is reporting an increase in orders received.
